1.  Who are you? 

We are a group of moms who were brought together initially through blogging and have created a community of support and encouragement.  There have been 5 annual retreats in Orlando Florida that has grown from 9 moms to 120 moms meeting together.  Our vision has grown from having an annual meeting to providing a continual support group that organizes regional Gatherings, networking, annual retreats in Florida, and educating others. We are made up of moms, foster moms, and other female caregivers who parent kids who have experienced early trauma and have attachment resistance.

 

2.  When is the yearly retreat? 

 The dates for the 2017 Orlando retreat are March 3-6, 2017.   Transportation will be arranged for you on Friday and Monday at MCO. You may, of course, fly in or out on different days, or utilize a different airport, but we will ONLY provide transportation to and from MCO on March 3 and 6.

 

3.  Where will I be staying?

We meet  in Orlando, FL (Kissimmee, technically) at Champions Gate.  We rent a number of villas which we fill with 8-16 women so that each group has the opportunity to form small group support networks.  Each villa has a variety of room types available at a variety of prices in an effort to make our retreat as attainable as possible.    


4.  When is registration?

Registration begins June 1, 2016.  Emails can be sent to iwannacometobeta@email.com  with the type of room you are interested in and any villa preference.  Your deposit of $100 for the retreat needs to be paid when you are notified there is a space available.

5.  What is the cost of lodging? 

Orlando costs are as follows: 

Twin/Bunk bed in a shared room : $265

Queen :

Queen Room $340
Double Queen $275 (2 gueen beds in room)
Queen Shared $255 (one queen bed in room)

King:

King single $360
king shared $265 

$100 due at registration  $125 due 10/15/16 Remainder due 12/31/16


 


6.  What other costs are there?

Your retreat fee covers food, ground transportation, t-shirt, retreat souvenirs, and other miscellaneous expenses for the weekend.  

 

7. Are there scholarships?

We hope to make scholarships  available as funds are donated.  We also do an auction each year to secure funding for scholarships as well.  The donate button on the FUNDRAISER page of the website will link you directly to our paypal account.  Directed donations are accepted for a particular attendee as well.


8. Day Visitors

Day Visitors are welcome at the retreat as follows:  By registering for Saturday and/or Sunday you are welcome to attend any of our classes spread throughout our villas. The registration fee of $25 a day helps to cover our expenses, providing more speakers/classes for you to partake in. Please join the Main House during the lunch hour for a tasty treat and we will have extra goodies just for you. Thank you for respecting the Day Visitor hours of 9am-5pm.
